..................
back after 2 nerve-wrecking weeks in skol.
not to mention it was onli the beginning of the skol term.
but im feeling so much more relieved now.
after much consideration, i decided to drop a module.
simply cos i cant juggle 6 mods at one go n oso becos i cant understand wat my lecturer's talking abt.i dun even noe if hes speaking in English.haha.
anw,so im much more relaxed now.
last wk was reali one hell of a week when i had to rush out a thesis draft consisting of 3-4 pgs.
it may sound easy, but it sure was tough.imagine trying to argue logically n finding all ur supporting evidence justify ur position on an article.wats more, within tt pg limit n double line spacing.
guess im a long-winded person who neva fails to exceed stipulated pg limit of my assignments.haha.
anw,so wif tt draft down n less 1 mod, im feeling so much more relieved this weekend.
no more wailing in late nite while trying to work on any hmwks, no more nervous breakdowns i hope.
it was terrible to experience tt on first 2 weeks of skol, honestly.
a bad head start to a new phase of one's life.
but oh well,i hope im seriously over tt since tings hav changed nw.
at least,im having a little bit more space n time this weekend.
got to hav lunch n dinner in peace, no readings during mealtime.
im quite glad i've made the right decision to drop tt mod.
although there hasnt been much assignments for tt mod yet, but knowing tt i dun understand anything in class reali freaked me out.i tried to understand, but i jux cant.
anw, yest (Sat) the band including myself went for some songwriting festival event at a methodist church.
was a nice exposure although we were definitely the rarity there as Catholics.
tink the ppl pretty much liked the idea we were Catholics, according to the feedback i heard from the rest of the band who noticed the crowd's response.
we performed 3 songs. 1 indoor,2 outdoor.
the dynamics outdoor were too much for us to adapt to i tink.
the stage n layout of the amps were the major issues for the band n singers.
everyone couldnt hear themselves.
well, though it was pretty crappy but i guess we did managed to smoke our way through.haha.
heard some other Christians' songs composed. quite impressed wif a female solo-ist who resembles so much to Corrinne May as she played a slow song on the keyboard n sang.
she had a beautiful voice too.=).
the other group which was pretty good was Riverlife Church who performed 3 songs indoors.
the female vocalists were darn good!i liked 1 of them who reali exudes the X-factor as she sang.haha.
anw,the band tt i was most most impressed was from i dunnoe where.they had a reali gd backup singers/mini-choir wif a NZ guy leading the team in songs outdoor.
the band was damn good n tight, n the drummer was -oooh!-.totally blew me off my feet lk the Riverlife Church's drummer.
anw,the NZ fella was reali good at the interaction part.haha.
yup, after the whole event we headed to Angel's place for supper!haha.
she kindly invited some of us to her place for pancakes.hahaha.
anw,it was yummy!the best pancakes i've ever had so far.haha.
she made the batter using some flour she bought from Australia i tink.the smell of it alr tantalises ur sense of smell.haha.
mmm....n oso the authentic maple syrup from Australia!yummy.
there were salads wif maple syrup we concocted ourselves on the spot.haha.actually,it was tt boy who first introduced us to it.hahaha.
den roasted chicken from Cold Storage, pretty fresh.
n rounding it all up was...Magnum ice-cream!=D.
extremely satisfying supper in the backyard of Angel's house where there was a small swing n we jux sat out there in the starry starry night n cool breeze.=).
so tt was a good dae i had since a long time.haha.
hopefully, tml wud be another wonderful dae if i get to meet my dearest Niaima who jux returned from Zurich yest.=).
alritey, time for bed.
oh btw, Happy Teacher's Day to all my friends who are teaching.=).
tata!
